Had been MIA for quite a long time. Here is some pictures updates of my GTs. By owning the MarK6 approximately 4 months already, I have to said it is a very good car for daily used. Compare to my Blue Hippo, this car is more responsive at lower RPM, comfort and the most important DSG gear box is fun to use~ Honestly, if both cars going for race on our traffic road condition, MarK6 will easily say good bye to Hippo BUT story will be different if come to highway~

Went to Formula MB last week to service my Blue Hippo. I was so excited and nervous before arrived FMB because I knew Mr.Ohura was there ^_^ When arrived there, I pass my key to Han and told him this time I want to do alignment for my Blue Hippo as well as change my engine oil.

When my car is being jack-up, suddenly a man came out from the office, he pace back and forth of my Hippo, and YES he is Mr.Ohura!! I feel so nervous and not dare approach to him until one of the foreman introduce me to Mr.Ohura, at the moment I feel so happy and honor to shake his hand~ Mr.Ohura is a very very friendly person and he know very well in many cars, modification and of course his specialist ECU, HKS FCon VPro!

This time he suggested me to use Motul 300V Le mans 20W60(previously was using Motul 300V 15W50), the reason is because RB engine normally will go for high rpm, high load and with our country hot temperature, a "thicker" or more viscosity oil is a better choice~ I asked him to double confirm my Turbo, he said I'm still using stock turbo and ask me don't boost above 1 bar. Although I knew this but at least this can show he really know something and will remind the car owner to prevent any problem occur at the future. Besides, he said I should go for bigger wheel *shame me*.....

After some chat with Mr.Ohura, he went for lunch and I took some car pictures there while my car was doing alignment. Hope you guys enjoy all the pictures below~

Honestly, I knew this news few months ago(October of 2010)~ I had been told by the founder of Formula MB powerhouse(Adil) said he had recruit Mr.Ohura and he will be arrived at Jan of 2011. And now he is here and became the in-house tuner of Formula MB.

Mr. Ohura previously work as Japan engineer and tuner from HKS with more than 20 years experience, and after that he continue his career at Brunei, SHH Pro Shop and finally at Kuala Lumpur, Formula MB~ Pay a visit there when you free~

Recently I always stay up late until 3a.m morning, all because of this drama, "三國". This is a very interesting drama and "三國" synopsis is talk about the War of three kingdoms in our Chinese history. The three kingdoms which is Cao-Wei Empire(曹魏) by Cao Cao 曹操, Shu-Han Empire(蜀漢) by Liu Bei 劉備 and Wu Empire(吳) by Sun Quan 孫權. Most interesting part to watch is how the army adviser of Shu kingdom, Zhu Ge Liang 诸葛亮 (孔明) present the strategy to achieve victory from battle~

PVC Carpet For MarK6

This afternoon went to CV Audio Accessories(Bandar Baru Ampang Branch) to get a new carpet for my MarK6 as well as bring along my Garmin GPS for updating the current latest map. The mat color I choose for this time was same with my Blue Hippo which is grey color and it only cost me Rm80 for whole car(not including boot area)~

This afternoon I received a call from Karen, sales consultant of Wearnes VW, told me that my new ride is time for collect. When I arrived, there is another new scirocco owner was taking their car, I bet we have the same feeling of getting a new ride!! *Happy and excited*

After I'm going through the inspection to my car, I able to took few picture via my IPhone, sorry for bad the quality photo and of course the picture of Tiguan for my cousin, Darryl. Unfortunately, rain was begin to fall when I'm driving my MarK 6 back to work, this make my car look dirty around the fender. Signz... Need to clean it up as soon as possible when I'm free.

After visit to Honda, Toyota, Mazda and Nissan showrooms, none of their models can caught my attention, until I pop into the Volkswagen showroom located at Ampang.... Wow~ they got a lot of hatchback car like Polo, New Beetle, Golf, Scirocco and Golf GTI! I've request for all this model catalogue for reference and consider which one should I choose....

Here is my comment about this few model and I'll apologize if any of my word do makes you guys feel uncomfortable:
- Polo, it is a very economy car, very good for daily used but its only 1197cc, the interior is normal featuring with fabric seat.... *remove from my list*
- New Beetle, nice and cute but it is a single door.... *remove from my list*
- Golf, everything is just nice and meet to my requirements, 1390cc is almost same with my Honda Jazz. *Option 1*
- Scirocco, single door which not suit to my daily used BUT I still have to said this, its awesome with a very nice exterior designed! This car come in optional of 1390cc(160ps) and 1984cc(210ps), anyone who looking for single door hatchback, must go for this car! *remove from my list*
- Golf GTI, speechless.... this car is my dream daily car. *Option 2*

As a result, there are only 2 options for me, either Golf or Golf Gti. Honestly, Golf is already enough for daily used but it just not perfect like Golf GTI in term of interior design and performance; of course the Golf GTI is much more expensive than Golf. Until now, I'm still scratching my head which one should I choose *Dilemma*...

Finally VW will become my new daily car~

Reference: Skyline GTR Idle Stalling Problem

Is very annoying if you having this problem because it will make you like a paranoid everytime you stop at traffic light, decelerate for cornering and engine can't start after your engine warm. Unfortunately, I had this problem after few weeks of purchase my Blue Hippo.... This took me very long time to source out the problem because the scope of possibility cause this happen was huge... And I've read few forum about Skyline GTR, there are quite a lot number of owner also encounter this problem.

Here, I wanna make a summary of possibility to cause the idle stalling to your car.

INSPECT THIS FIRST:
1) Check your ECU, BOV and intake system. For those owner who still using stock ECU with MAF intake system, please don't change your stock BOV(recirculate type) to aftermarket BOV(blow to vent type) for better "hearing sense". After market BOV only recommend for aftermarket ECU and MAP intake system.

2) If your setup both are aftermarket ECU and BOV, then you can bring your car to workshop and ask them to check whether any air leaking(intake pipe, intercooler pipe, vacuum hose or maybe your BOV).

IF NO LEAKING, then all this below maybe cause idle stalling and you should :
1) Your AAC valve(some people call it "idle valve"), it maybe clog inside there and restrict the air. Ask the mechanic to take out the AAC valve and give it a clean. Then adjust the AAC screw back to normal RPM/idle speed.

2) TPS(Throttle position sensor), check the TPS voltage by using multi-meter, the TPS reading should be around 0.45V when throttle fully closed and around 4.5V when throttle fully open. If your TPS reading far from this, you can adjust it by turning the TPS clock/anti clockwise in order to achieve this reading. If fail, mean that your TPS is time to go and you need to change a new one~

3) Retune your ECU, by using this method. You can check your idle ignition timing and idle fueling pressure too.

By follow above solutions, this problem should be solved. Anyway, if problem still occur after you did all the steps at above, you need to:
1) Check your coil pack, coil relay and spark plug. Replace the stock coil to aftermarket product like OKD(best coil for me). Choose appropriate heat range of spark plug according to your driving style. Nismo suggest all Skyline GTR use heat range of "7".

2) Check O2 sensor, replace if necessary.

3) Fuel system, how long you never change your fuel filter? It maybe clog or leaking someway... Prefer to check the whole fuel system from fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel regulator, fuel rail to fuel injector.

4) Check all ground cable because a faulty ground will lead many problems.

5) Check your throttle body.

"My problem:
1) After engine warm, my car is very difficult to start, even I give some throttle when turning on the engine, it maybe stall after 3 to 5 seconds. Sometime no stalling but the car seems like very rough and RPM indicator is jumping.

2) My MFD screen show the throttle reading NOT 0% when idle.

3) Car occasionally stall after decelerate for cornering and stop at traffic light. Imagine the engine die when you around the corner.... *kencing also keluar*

Solution for my case:
Its took me very long time to overcome this problem....
- Change coil relay, coil plug and spark plug. (make my car run a bit smooth but still stalling...)
- Change new TPS. (solved my problem "2" but still stalling...)
- Change fuel pump, fuel filter and injector together with retune ECU. (because I plan for future upgrade while hoping problem can be solved after retune, but still stalling...)
- Check all ground cable. (nothing wrong to my ground cable)
- Check AAC valve. Due to is quite a massive job to take out a small AAC unit under the throttle body. we try to adjust the AAC screw to see how the car running before take out the unit for inspect. As the result, car is running smooth and never stall after adjust the AAC valve screw. (finally problem solve!)"

Hopefully you don't have this problem....

Reference: Skyline GTR High Water Temperature

Is your GTR having a unreasonable water temperature now? I have encounter this before and now I would like to point out those possible things which will cause this happen:

DO THIS FIRST:
- Check the radiator caps and all the coolant hose whether got leaking before do anything below.
- Radiator, your radiator maybe clog and is time to service. Bring your car to the workshop ask the mechanic to do a radiator service. They will pull out your radiator and fully flush.
- Radiator fin, have a look into your radiator fin, is it bend? If MAJOR part of the radiator fin is bend there will be a possible reduce air flow through the radiator and cause the water temperature increase. If this happen, ask your mechanic to re-alignment the radiator fin.
- Change water coolant if necessary. Redline product or Motul Mocool is good enough. And make a request to your mechanic by fill in the radiator with distill water ONLY.

If problem still remain after you did what I mention above, then you have to check this:
- Check your fan whether in good condition. You can do this by remove the fan shroud/cover, then turning your car off and see how fast the fan stop, if your fan still spinning for 2 second or more after car shut down, then your fan clutch is time to go. Usually this is less possible to happen because the fan clutch is quite durable.
- Check water thermostat whether still in good condition. If necessary to change, go for NISMO! The best thermostat ever which start to open at 62C(OEM thermostat open at 76C)~
- Lastly, the water pump. May possible your water pump is time to go~ If talk about water pump, nothing can beat N1 water pump!

By the way, there are few factors will cause HIGHER(not unreasonable) water temperature:
- Thicker radiator featuring with OEM clutch fan. Is good to change to aftermarket clutch fan if you are using very thick radiator.
- Without fan shroud. I believe many Skyliner don't have this due to aftermarket radiator setup. Anyway is good if you can get one~

"My problem: When my car was cruising, water temperature is normal but when stop at traffic light or idling, the water temperature will slowly raise until to 107C and it will continue to increase if your car still idling!!

Solution for my case:
-Service radiator
-Re-alignment radiator
- Change water coolant (Motul Mocool)"

Hopefully this reference can solve your problem~

Additional pictures before I take back my car from FMB~ My Hippo have go through many days of test drive, whether in aggressive or normal drive mode also 100% smooth and without stalling! Besides that, I also change the engine oil and oil filter(Same engine oil as before). Within this period, I can't sleep well and concentrate my work, and even think and plan to sell this car before....

And now the car is back and I can't wait to give her a nice shower!! Since my car now is smooth like a mother f%*ker, I will continue to keep it for longer time. Why "longer time"? Because after few years I will form a family, at the moment this car is definitely not suit me, will try to look for a comfort and economy prestige car, maybe an Audi A4 or Lexus IS250~

Few days ago I pop into KLCC's Isetan to restock some skincare items. This time, I only spend 15 minutes for shopping inside there, because of my busy working time, it not allowed me to stay any longer after I bought what I want.

Besides of Kiehl's Cleanser and Toner, This time I purchase the Kiehl's Shave Cream and Moisturiser too~

So far, only Lancome Pure Focus and Keihl's Blue Astringent toner can control the oil for longer period~

I've try the Moisturiser sample before, its much better than Biotherm Homme T-Pur Intense, maybe Biotherm is too rich for my oily skin....

With few sample pack: Coconut oil shampoo, All-in-one shower shampoo for hair and body(red).

I request for another 3 shave cream sample packs, its really feel comfortable when using it!

New Fueling System

Some late update here.... All this pictures was taken at few weeks ago, there are few items have been installed to my Hippo such as Nismo fuel pump, Pitwork fuel filter, 700cc SARD top feed injector and TPS(Throttle Position Sensor). The reason to install a new TPS because I suspect old TPS is time to gone, my MFD show the throttle reading is 4-5% when idle, its suppose 0% in normal condition. We try to adjust the old TPS but still can't make it 0%, in the end I have to change to the new TPS(lucky I bought one from Tom) and the Throttle reading is sit at 0% now~

Although ECU have been re-tune and replace to new TPS, but life never turns out the way that we expect, the stalling problem still exist and it become worst, it can't even start the car when engine warm!! The mechanic re-inspect the fueling system, ground cable, ECU, coil relay, coil plug, spark plug, vacuum hose and o2 sensor, all this items are still in good condition.... Until the end he proceed to AAC valve, the problem is finally solved after adjust the valve idle screw~ Car is test on the road again and again for few days, stalling problem never exist again and the car run very smooth and responsive~ Have a big thanks to Art(sorry if wrong spelling), the mechanic of Formula MB, thanks for his patient to help me inspect so many things and source out the problem~ Thank you!

My Sard 700cc top feed injectors had arrived. And now it has been installed into my car together with the Nismo fuel pump and Pitwork fuel filter. The injectors just fit to my Tomei fuel rail (JECS) and my mechanic will help me check for the stalling problem by inspect the TPS, throttle butterfly, and whole intake system.

At 1st, I'm quite disappointed to choose Sard injectors because I wish my car majority setup is from Tomei product, but my mechanic can't find anyone selling Tomei 700cc injectors at Sunway.... Besides that, Tomei 700cc injectors required to change my Tomei fuel rail(JECS) to DENSO type which cost me extra Rm1k+ and the injector coupler is required to changed too. Therefore I decided to save this amount of money to invest at future upgrade, because Rm1k+ can get a brand new N1 water pump or Tomei oil baffler plate, hehehe:-)

Sard 700cc top feed injectors. Set part number injector is 63800; unit part number is 63500.

Planning For Fuel System Upgrade

There are few items I collected last month, purpose is used to upgrade my fuel system. At 1st my car was using stock fuel pump, SARD regulator, Tomei fuel rail and OEM 444cc injector. After did the 1st dyno test, found out my car was running lean at 6000RPM, thus at the moment I changed the stock fuel pump to Walbro 255L/hr, however it still running lean at higher RPM. Due to lean problem and my car was still running a stock oil pump, I never go near around 7000RPM....

Therefore, I'm gonna upgrade my fuel system next and at the same time to check my idle problem.... Yes, the problem still occur even the AAC valve has been cleaned, hopefully this time FMB can fully solve my problem.

All this items bought from Drift House by Tom, I believe most of the ZeroToHundred Skyline Club member know him. The items are Nismo fuel pump which can provide more fuel volume(276L/hr), Pitwork fuel filter and Nissam OEM brand new Throttle Position Sensor(TPS) just in case my TPS is time to go. By the way, I've ask Zai, GM of Formula MB help me to order the SARD 700cc injectors.

If not mistaken, my previous formal shoe was bought at 3 years ago, its a Hush Puppies and mainly used for my presentation during college time. I'm a person who dislike formal wear, at 1st I'm struggling which type of shoes should I purchase....

Until I saw this one at Pavilion, Gucci Lace-up Sneakers. From my view, this shoe is not a formal shoe BUT it provide semi-formal look and its good match with any long jeans or pants. ^_^

Arrival Of Okada Plasma Direct

The coil arrived at 14th of September, after new coil was installed, all the annoying sound was gone! But the rev indicator still occasionally jump at idle.... Han help me to check all the hose and BOV, there is no leaking and still in good condition. In the end, he took out the AAC valve to clean, the problem of "jumping rev" solved after the valve is cleaned.

The car is very smooth and more response than before, I bet is caused by the OKD coil plug~ Before I stop this topic, I would like to thanks Formula MB especially Han and Zai who help me collect parts and repair my car, thanks a lot ^_^

What Is The Problem?

As I said, I'll solve my car's problem after the clutch installed. What is the problem?

"When accelerating, car seems like heavy to move. After release the gas pedal, the rev indicator will drop below 1000rpm and goes up and down when the car is idling. It also will stall occasionally after release gas pedal. Besides that, there is a strong rattling sound from engine bay, like "dak dak dak dak", at 1st I thought is caused by my release bearing but problem still occur after new clutch was installed."

After going through a few inspection, Han told me the rattling sound is caused by the faulty 5th ignition coil plug, he suggested me change whole coil set to aftermarket product. What else? The "OKADA Plasma Direct" is always in my modification list, since the situation forced me to change a new coil, I asked Zai to order the OKD Plasma Direct for me.

Sorry for some late update:

After a long period hunting for stock OEM release fork for my Hippo and that is still no sign of it, I finally give up and decided to purchase a new clutch, I asked Zai to order me a OS Giken STR2CD clutch kit, it come together with the alteration adjustment movement. Thus, the ORC P559D is on selling now, anyone interested can give a call to Formula MB.

The OS twin clutch arrived at 6th of September. Nevertheless I'm quite busy on that day but I still able to visit FMB to capture some pictures of the clutch. Erm..... From my view, OS STR2CD and ORC P559D is almost the same, both can hold power around 550HP, the only thing different is the price for OS Giken will be more expensive due to it come with the converter release fork.

After received those item, I bring my Hippo to Formula MB immediately to install my ORC clutch, as well as overcome some problem occur to my car during last few weeks ago. I'll elaborate the what is the problem at my future topic....

Arrival FMB at afternoon with all the items prepared, and this time Han will fully handle my case. After tell him what is the problem occur to my car, I was busying capture some picture and pace up and down around a super car "Lamborghini supperlagger" as well as a Nissan Skyline R33. Then I went back shop to continue my work....

Unfortunately, I received call from Han and told me that the clutch I'm using now has been converted to Push type which can't fit the ORC Pull type clutch, I felt so desperate and can't wait to know what is going on.... GTR34 is suppose a Pull type clutch system but why? Head back to FMB at evening, then only realized my car was actually converted and house with a TRIPLE PLATE R3C OS GIKEN, its a Push type clutch..... At the moment I don't know how to describe my mood, happy because I trained to be a "Kam Kong" leg driver, sad is I wasted my ORC clutch, I always love ORC because of the "kringggG" sound. And now I have to source the stock Pull type adjustment release kit, and I know is difficult to get. Anyway, Zai willing to help me source out this item and hopefully he can found one. Otherwise, I have to sell my ORC P559D clutch and buy a new set of Os Giken STR2CD (NO MORE TO 3 PLATE!)... Headache man....

"A Nissan GTR R34 is still one of the most desirable machines to come out of Japan, high up there with the NSX-R, R35 GTR, and other iconic Japanese machines. Sadly, they are aged and finding a used example in near perfect condition is close to impossible. Well almost impossible.

New Z-Tune featuring with carbon eye-liner, look great!

German tuner JAPO Motorsport is offering a near brand-new R34 GTR NISMO Z-tune for those willing to fork out the cash for it. The Essen-based tuner bought a stock 1999 GT-R and spent a lot of time and money tearing it apart and restoring it as close to the original as possible.

In putting it all back together, the tuner used original Z-tune parts (like the front skirts, mudguards and rear wheel housing) and original sil "KY0" paint which was exclusive to the Z-tune back then (only 20 Z-tune's were made). Also part of the package are NISMO Z-tune five spoke wheels, Toyo semi-slick tires, alcantara leather upholstery, an updated multifunctional display, and a revised speedometer that now tops out at 320km/h.

The exterior is completely stock but the German tuner could not hold back from working on the internals. Power from the 2.6-liter straight six is now up thanks to GT RS turbochargers, a new intercooler, a racing suction/chamber kit, enhanced fuel injectors, and high performance spark plugs.

Clean and neat engine bay setup.

These mods contribute to the 516hp and 597Nm of torque that the new Z-tune now boasts. Just for the record, a standard R34 Skyline GTR churns out 327hp and 392Nm of torque while the standard Z-tune boasted 493hp and 540Nm of torque.

Air Filter Changed

Yesterday knock off earlier, thus its the chance for me to change my Hippo air filter. Although is easy and straight forward but took me about 1 hour to finish this..... I've read few forums before when I was fan of Subaru Impreza, most of them complain about HKS filter pod is very fragile, because they fully tighten it. Need to know, HKS filter pod is made of plastic thus must NOT fully tighten it otherwise the pod connector will crack....

Some late update caused by my busy work.... Last Saturday went up to Drift House to purchase the Nismo Big Operating Cylinder, thanks to my Garmin otherwise I'm sure I cant manage to find the place ^_^
Subsequently, I head up to Sunway to look for ORC clutch line, but life never turns out the way that I expect, none of them available for this item.... So I need to continue source this item? OR just install my clutch without swap the clutch line.... *headache*

Received call by Formula MB, told me that they don't have ready stock of Nismo Big Operating Cylinder and ORC clutch line, if making order I have to wait at least few weeks(Damn Nismo Malaysia -_-). So I think the best way is to source out the remaining items at outside by myself. Anyway, I have been told that my ORC clutch and HKS 150 Air filter sponge was arrived and I collected both items in this evening. Here is the pictures....

You might be wonder why I choose P559D but instead of P659D, because this model is much more balance whether in power transfer, responsive and most important its not completely "button" type(easy for half clutch); Which P659D only concentrate in power transfer. Clutch Slipping

Yesterday went out to dinner with my BlueHippo. I drove as usual but this time I felt the friction point of my clutch have a bit strange... At 1st I thought that maybe is I over suspect my clutch, but this happen at every 1st gear when the car begin to move from still. Eventually I came to MRR2 highway, which allowed me to accelerate..... The car seems like retard and not responsive at early stage of accelerate, rev increasing but my car didn't pull as usual. While going back home, I heard that is some sound from the clutch when I releasing my clutch pedal. At this moment, I guess my clutch is time to go.....

Actually within this few months I had do some research on clutch, because when I service my Hippo at 5 months ago, my mechanic told me my clutch is a bit slip but still can use it. So far from my research, I personal fall in love to ORC Metal Twin Clutch P559D/ P659D model, the main reason I love ORC twin clutch because it will provide a "keringgGggGg" sound when turning on the engine, this sound is caused by the flywheel if not mistaken. Hehehehe :-)

Since my clutch is slipping now, this afternoon I head up to Formula MB and ask Adil to order few items for me:
- ORC Metal Twin Clutch P559D
- ORC Clutch line with ORC clutch fluid
- Nismo big operating cylinder

3rd Maintenance @ Formula MB

Time flies, 4 months is just the corner since I did my 2nd maintenance at Formula D. Thus, I decided to make the 3rd maintenance this morning since I off today. I insist go back to the same workshop but this time not Formula D, its changed the name to Formula MB~

I have been told by Hafizd I just have to change the engine oil and oil filter. Because so far my Hippo don't have any problem with the Motul 300V 15W50 hence I insist to use back the same engine oil without try others brand. Besides of engine oil and oil filter, I also ask them to take out my front bumper to make good the grill located at oil-cooler side. The grill is loose at bottom part and will be fall out if not make it good, I bet its caused by high speed run. At 1st, Hafizd try to use silicon to "stick" the grill, its work but I think same problem will happen after the few high speed run, thus Shiva suggest to use Poly Putty + hardener cream on the grill, this material did a good job and I believe the grill can't fall out even go for hundred times of Sepang track! Thanks Shiva as well as Hafizd~ ^_^

The Upcoming EVO In Diesel Hybrid

I know this is hard to believe but Mitsubishi is planning a radical overhaul of its Evolution model altogether. In fact, Mitsubishi is said to have given serious consideration to axing the Evo model altogether because of tightening emissions legislation. Sources in Japan say that there were earlier plans to switch the Evo to a petrol hybrid powertrain and base it on the PX-MiEV SUV concept's platform, but that project was given the boot.

Well that project died but instead of pulling the plug on the legendary Evo, Mitsubishi is going to be changing the next incarnation of the Evo into a diesel hybrid. This is designed to save the Evo from tightening economy and emissions regulations while preserving its trademark mid-range shove.

This is not just a rumour anymore, according to Autocar UK, the firm's R&D department has been given the approval to push the car in a different direction; a diesel hybrid.

Mitsubishi's engineers hope that the mix of clean-diesel torque and electric motor assistance will proper the next generation Evolution from a standstill to 100km/h in under five seconds, yet cut CO2 emissions to well under 200gm/km.

The Evo is known for its handling thanks to its sophisticated four-wheel drive system, and the next-gen Evo won't be any different. It will be entrusted with a revised version of four-wheel drive system, S-AWC, which integrates steering, braking and traction control.

This may all sound very good on paper and this website but switching to diesel power is undoubtedly a big gamble for Mitsubishi. If the Evo does run on diesel, it will effectively be ruled out of competition use and this could limit its racer appeal that it has so successfully relied on. It might not also be very appealing in its key markets such as the US and Japan because diesels have yet to gain widespread acceptance

Fish Valley Trip

Finally I have time to do some update for my blog, this tittle is about the fishing trip which held at last month. All photos are took by my brother Joe and the person who caught the fish is me.... *Darryl, please don't F*&k me while reading this post, lol~*

Wake up in 7.30 morning, prepared all the equipments and having breakfast then straight head up to Fish valley at Semenyir. I was there around 9.30am and begin to set up my gear. As we know, fish is usually active at morning and evening, so this is the golden opportunity for me. Bait just drop into pond less than 10 minutes, 1st fish sign was came to me. Fighting about 15 minutes and the fish was success to be land.

Second and third fish came to me but fail to land, both of them was large and strong, can easily spool out all my line.... Because I'm using light action gear thus it can't withstand to larger size fish and end up with hook off /_\

After that, fish sign is lost due to the weather was getting hot. However, before I'm keeping my things and plan to go back, fourth fish came and this one was success to land. Hehehe:-) As a result, I got 4 strike but success to land 2 fishes, at least PASS in this fishing trip.

395hp Cosworth Edition Impreza STI

Some update news for Subaru Impreza STI> Cosworth Edition Subaru Impreza STI which is only available for 75 units worldwide.

We reported about Cosworth working on a special edition of the Subaru Impreza WRX STI some time ago, and now its officially here. Here are the first official photos of the highly anticipated Impreza WRX STI Cosworth edition. Set to go on sale this June in the UK only and in a limited-run of just 75 units, the Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 promises supercar-like performance figures in a hot hatch.

Cosworth's engineers started work on the STI's 2.5-liter boxer unit, installing new high-performance pistons, connecting rods, head gaskets and bearings. The mod works also includes a remapped ECU, a modified turbocharger and wastegate as well as a new custom exhaust system.

The result of all that work is an impressive 395hp at 5,750rpm, enough to propel the Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 too 100km/h in a mere 3.7-seconds. Just for comparison sake, the standard 296hp Impreza WRX STI completes the 100km/h sprint in 5.2-seconds.

According to reports from Subaru, the CS400 also gets revamped suspension with new coil springs and a 10mm lower ride-height as well as a bespoke brake package with six-pot callipers and 355mm discs at the front that were co-developed with AP Racing.

In the styling department, the changes are extremely subtle consisting of a redesigned front bumper with an integrated lower spoiler and a mesh grille, Cosworth logos, a different rear spoiler and specific 18-inch alloy wheels.

Finally, the limited edition Impreza STI CS400 gets a pair of Recaro bucket seats, glossy black dashboard trim and of course, Cosworth badges.

Head up to KLCC with my mum tonight to collect some information about Samsung 3D LED TV because we are planning to swap our old junk Sony flat TV to Samsung 3D LED TV within this few months. After going through few explanation from the salesman, we decided to aim for 7-series either is 40" or 46". Hopefully can get this item as soon as possible for my FFXIII!! I believe it will be awesome if plug and play with the terrific 3D graphic effect TV done by Samsung.
As usual, Kinokuniya is the place where I'll visit every time at KLCC. This time I'm able to found out a great magazine about GTR34, I guess it may not be a new book but I still bought it for collection.

This morning I arrived Formula D at sharp 10AM(opening hour) to check my car. The mechanic told me he had check, inspected and test drive my car for few times, there is no problem to my car. Ah Han told me 2 or 3 cranks to spark up an engine is very normal unless 5 cranks or above only consider got problem. Yeah, finally my Hippo is back, finally I can have a sweet dream tonight~ But before that, I must clean my "Dirty Hippo"....

Alternator Found!

Yesterday morning I received sms from Adil told me that he found an suitable alternator and has been installed into my car. It is a good news to me but is the alternator for Skyline used? In order to check this out, I went to his place at afternoon.

Wow~ Guess what?! This is the 1st time I saw Twin FD3S there, I bet my brother is wetting his pants since he is a die hard fans of FD3S, LOL~ And of cause I'm feeling very great to meet the 2 owners of this RE machine> Kevin and Armin(correct me if I'm spelling wrong your name, sorry...). I totally admire their spirit of drove the long way from Segambut area to here for service their car. *Thumb up*

Additional, I can't really see the full model number of the recon alternator since already installed into my car. What I can get from there is "23100 0V???". I've read some Skyline forum before, as long as "23100" at front, it suit to all Skyline... Is it real? Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, since this alternator can fit to the pulley thus I assume this to be done. Paid and drove my Hippo back~

After arrived home, I tried to off/on my engine few time to see how its response? There are 2 or 3 times need 2 or 3 crank to spark the engine up. I call Adil again and he said is normal. Maybe I'm over worry hence I plan to leave my car there for 1 more day in order to make sure all is running good.

Two FD3S was there for service. White(Armin) and Dark Green(Kevin).

My old alternator, I'll take it for rebuild, just in case the current one die again. (touch wood)

Towing Day

Towing truck was arrived my house on Monday(3-5-2010) morning. This was my 1st time experience how a car being tow. Although this is very amazing scene but I personally not wish to see this happen to me again! After arrived Formula D, Shiva removed the rear battery cover mat, take out the old battery and plug in the new one, this time I'm going for AcDelco battery, its maintenance free and have longer life.

The next section is tougher and its makes me headache! ALTERNATOR!!! I bet all of the Skyliner know how rare is the genuine Nissan Skyline alternator whether in recon or brand new. I've try to looking into other recon Nissan alternator, but its not fit to my Greddy alternator pulley. Adil tried to order me the brand new Nissan Skyline alternator but its not available here, so I leave 2 options: whether is waiting them to find a recon skyline alternator for me OR purchase an aftermarket alternator, from what I knew there are only few company provide aftermarket alternator and is extremely bloody expensive! RH9, HRD and Zeigen.... all this are around 68000YEN(excluding tax). Our local tax is high like skyline, thus will easily cost within the range of Rm3k to Rm4k....

I was scratching, stunning and feel desperation there for a moment. Adil told me no worry and he will try his best to find a suitable recon alternator for me. Since I can't do anything with this and just forced to leave my car there until get an suitable alternator..... Bye bye Hippo... T_T Since this is my 1st time leave my car at garage so its makes me can't sleep well for whole night.

Alternator Fault

Last Sunday(2-5-2010) morning. As usual, I start up my GTR to warm the engine up, but bad dream come to me, the engine can't start! I just can heard the crank sound but it doesn't spark at all. It seems like my GTR battery is going flat, dammit! I call Adil and let him know all about this, Adil suspect mostly is the battery is running out and he willing to ask his worker (Shiva) to come down my house and change the battery for me.

Shiva arrived my house around 4.30PM, after going through some inspection by him, he told me the main problem is not battery but the alternator, it can't fully charge the battery.... Seems like the only route is to tow my car to Formula D on next day(3-5-2010) to solve this problem.......

This problem makes me can't sleep well for 2 days....

2 weeks ago, I went to KLCC to make some restock for my skin care product. As usual, Lancome Pure Focus always in my 1st list. I've tried few brands before, but nothing is better than Lancome Pure Focus which can control oil of your skin for longer time.

This time, I was looking to purchase the Pure Focus Cleanser as well as Toner too. Unfortunately, the Toner is running out of stock, damn.... Since my toner is almost empty hence I forced to try other brand for temporary use. I recall back there is a brand named "Kiehl's" and this brand get many compliments from consumers, since I never try this product before, why not I try it now~ Hehehe ^_^ After purchased the Lancome Pure Focus Cleanser, I walk up to Kiehl's counter to ask for more information about which type of toner is suitable for my oily skin type. The girl suggested me to use this> Kiehl's Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner(wow, long name -_-), this is alcohol-free and suitable for normal to oily skin, it used to be soothe your skin while providing certain degree of oil-control. At the same time, she hand me some test kit of other type of toner and cleanser too(Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion & Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleanser)

After I tried all the Kiehl's product gave by the girl, I can finally said the Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleanser and Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion can replaced my Lancome Pure Focus cleanser and toner, it can hold the oil and tighten your skin for longer time compare to Lancome! Feel so great after used it! Lucky the Kiehl's Calendula Herbal Extract Toner I bought is smallest bottle thus I can change to Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion soon~

Able to take few shoot of this turtle, it's name as Pig-Nosed Turtle and is a species of soft shell turtle which is original from freashwater at Australia. It is friendly animal, unlike the aligator turtle which is extreamly dangerous and aggresive.

Major Service Part 2

Finally, I'm back to this blog. Actually, the Part major service was did at 12/4/2010 and it should be posted at the same day, but unfortunately my Modem was being strike by lighting, hence I can't online for last 2 weeks. Calling TM for solution and it took 1 weeks+ for the technician to come solve this problem(Malaysia Boleh!) -_- Anyway, everything was overcome and now I will continue this.

Monday morning(12/4/2010), I made a call to Adil and ask him about the arrival of my full set belt. However, I've been told that the Power Enterprise V Belt(for steering, A/C and fan) was out of stock and have to make a order from Japan and wait about 1 week..... Anyway, Adil suggest me to use other product which is from "Mitsuboshi Ribstar", although its not a well known brand compare to those product like HKS, Tomei or Power Enterprise but the durability is almost the same and much cheaper. Looks like I don't have other choice but to follow his suggestion.

This is my first time saw how they change the belt, it was so troublesome. Have to take out the radiator, fan clutch, all pulley just to install one new timing belt -_- Because of the radiator was being take out, it cost me 1 more bottle of Mocool water coolant -_- I've been spending 3 bottles of Mocool coolant within 2 months plus, WTF! Overall, I feel a bit unsatisfied because my expectation is a full set Power Enterprise belt but now only my timing belt is Power Enterprise...... *not POWER already la, LOL* kidding~ (And sorry for the photo quality at below, I was too rush until forgot to bring along my DSLR)

Major Service Part 1

Time flies, is almost 4 months(3 months plus) after my Blue Hippo did the 1st service and now is turn to touch up with 2nd service. I still remember the day before I purchased GTR, most of the owner said: "Try to give all the best as you can to this car. GTR is a unique car, how much you spend on her is equal to how good performance/condition you gain from her." Hence, although this is my 2nd time service but I decided to give her a major service.

I've plan for few things to change in this service:
- Engine Oil (Motul Competition 300V 15W50)
- Oil Filter (Nissan)
- Ignititon spark plug(HKS Super Fire Racing Iridium Plug Model-M40)
- Power Enterprise(Timing, Fan, Steering and A/C belt) waiting for belt arrive....

However, additional item is suggested to be replaced after they open up my engine cover. They found out the coil insulator and the coil cable is badly damaged, and I have been told that this will cause the ignition can't work in full performance and will cause rattling/knocking sound at low rev. Thus, I must change this immediately! Anyway, they only available 2nd hand coil cable(in good condition)..... At least better than nothing~

Coil cable has been replaced and follow up with the HKS Super Fire Racing Iridium Plug Model-M40. Then Motul engine oil and Nissan oil filter is changed after that. It took about 3 hours to finish this. At the same time, I ask Adil to place me an order for the Power Enterprise belts, and I'll be there for swap the belt once it arrive. Before head back home, one of the mechanic suggest me to change the ignition coil pack to Okada Plasma Direct ignition coil, it can slightly improve the HP and Torque, provide more efficiency in term of ignition and fuel saving and make your car smoother than ever, thinking I might swap this thing at near future~

Just now I shot up to KLCC's Kinokuniya to find the Final Fantasy XIII complete official guide and thanks god I get what I wanted, this book is come with color version as well as English version published by Piggyback, and it just cost about Rm96.75. Anyone who interested into this book can pay a visit there, it is located at Game Guide section which located behind of the information counter.

Nevertheless I'm kinda busy this week, I still manage to squeeze out sometime to purchase my new toy > PlayStation3. Within this week, I received few advices from my friends and most of them suggest me to get a normal slim PS3 with 250GB build-in data instead of Metal Gear or Final Fantasy XIII version PS3. The difference between normal PS3 and those special edition is just the appearance designed, color and a free Japan version Blu-Ray(sorry I tot is DVD) game(that is not my choice) but have to pay extra few hundred, hence is not worth it.

Below is the new toy I bought at Friday night, as well as the Final Fantasy XIII Blu-Ray disc(sorry XXD not DVD ^_^). Too bad my house still running a 7 years old flat TV /_\ .... I bet the picture quality is perfect if my PS3 plugin with a HTMi LCD. Will LCD be my next wishlist? Erm... I'm considering but not so soon. I should concentrate on the major service of my Blue Hippo. Overall, this game is freaking nice!! Muaksss!

Which is the best RPG game to you? Hopefully your answer will same as mine, which is the Final Fantasy! This is the only game which cause me deal with Play Station. From Final Fantasy 7(Play Station) to Final Fantasy X(PS2) and now Final Fantasy XIII, makes my mind gonna get a PS3 for it..... The reasons why its so attractive to me, are because of the perfect story line featuring with an awesome and terrific job of CG! This game set me walk into another fantasy world, just like a dream! A trillion of appreciate and salute to the team members who give their spirit and tremendous effort to create such terrific game! *Thumb up*

Yesterday hooked up to Formula D, this time Han and Ken(mechanic)suggest me do a complete radiator check by pull out the whole radiator and flushed, realignment the radiator fin as well as leaking check, thermostat check and fan check. It take about 3 to 4 hours to finish. I have been told, my fan clutch, thermostat is still in good condition and there is no leaking at all. The possible to cause this happen mainly from:

- Radiator fin, some of it was bend and this retard the air flow into and cause water temperature increase during idling. Since realignment fin was did, the problem should be solved now.

- Thicker aftermarket radiator featuring with stock radiator fan. My car is came with aftermarket radiator and it is thicker than the stock one. Hence, a stock fan size is insufficient to suck in high volume of fresh air through the radiator unless you using a bigger size radiator fan. Anyway, this only have small effect to water temperature since my radiator only slightly thicker than the stock one.

- Fan shroud. My car is came without fan shroud, thus it can't make the air 100% pass through the radiator. But problem is where available a Skyline fan shroud?? However, I skip this 1st and let see how my car running after did the radiator realignment.

One more CBA-R35 transmission gear box problem occur....

Besides tranny gear box, they inspect the rotor as well~

After everything was completed, I drove and while on the way back I noticed my temperature is much lower, when cruising(120 km/h) it only 75C(daytime)and below 70 at night(MFD can't detect it), stop at traffic is 85-90C and idle max is 96C. Since now the problem is solved and I'll concentrate to my next major service. Once again, I'm glad to appreciate to all GTR senior and friends who enlighten me during the time when I feel desperation. Thank you~

Unreasonable Water Tamperature Level

This afternoon drove my Blue Hippo and back from KL, there is a bad traffic jam along the way back. While idling, I noticed the MFD showing the water temperature is reach an unreasonable level at 103C and slowly increase by 1C after a minute. Since there is no place for me to stop the car thus I forced to drive it back as soon as possible. After go through the traffic jam area, I noticed the water temperature begin to drop(quite fast) and again it increase every time I stop when red light. That is not a good sign so I straight head up to Formula D to solve this problem before is too late.

After arrived there, I told the whole story to Adil, and he suggest me service the radiator since its a cheapest way and see whether if the problem can be solved. Its take about 1 hour plus to flush out the radiator and check whether any hose leaking, at the same time refill with the water coolant(Motul Mocool). After jobs done and start up the engine, the temperature is greatly lower than before, I thought the problem is solved but...

2 months no see, Adil had changed the carbon bonnet and side mirror.

MoCool is used for this time.

While on the way back, the water temperature up to 85C, its normal BUT when idling, its keep increase. I even tried to start engine and idle it at my car porch, the water temperature slowly rise up from 89C to 101C(A/C on; but it will reduce when A/C off) and I bet the temperature will continue to increase if I not shut down the car. Too bad this weekend my schedule is not allowed me to visit Formula D and have to wait until next week. Anyway, could it be thermostat? A/C fan? water pump or radiator cap problem??

Snake-Neck Turtle

This afternoon received a free gift from a customer, is a snake neck turtle! Why as a free gift?? Because he don't have sufficient time to take care and the feeding cost is quite pricey to him (huh?) No wonder, there are total 6 snake neck turtles(3 huge size and 3 medium size) and the master claim that he have to spend Rm30 ringgit fishes to feed his beast. Gosh!! its expensive than my 5000km service cost....

What is so special about this turtle?? This turtle got its name from its extremely long neck, which can be the full length of the shell. Unlike other type of turtles, the snake neck turtle bends it's neck under it's shell to hide and hunt. It will approach its prey with its head sideways and when it is at close range it will "snap" and catch its prey, just like snake.

This is so call Snake Neck turtle, its also known as Eastern Long Neck turtle.

Since today is my turn to take leave. This morning I took my Blue Hippo to CV Audio Accessories to change the carpet. Because currently my car using a rubber carpet (like those lorry used one) and it spoil the view of interior, thus I gonna change it to PVC carpet (like "welcome" carpet materiel). Once I arrived there, I leave my car there and asked Jacky to change the floor carpet for me. Then I went to a Chinese restaurant which just near by his shop to have my breakfast while waiting him to complete his job. After I finished my breakfast, I went back to Jacky and he was just finish done my car on time. After paid for the carpet, I went back home to wash my Blue Hippo since I'm having leave~

This is the 1st time I wash my Hippo, normally every time after drive her, I'll wipe her one time(IN and EXterior), but if talking about wash, this is my 1st time. I prepared vacuum cleaner, car wash & wax equipment and begin my task. First, I took out all the carpet and remove all the dust from carpet by slapping the carpet on the wall, then vacuum and wipe the interior part and replace the carpet into the cabin.

Begin with vacuum....

*tired* Finally finish the vacuum stage ^_^

Next, is to replace the carpet into cabin.

This is what I did every time after driving....

After done the interior part, I begin to wash the exterior part. Now I feel that, washing exterior part is ten times easier then interior part, at least no need used the vacuum cleaner and squat inside the cabin for half an hour -_- After wash the exterior part, I wipe the car again to let her dry faster.

Now is exterior turn, I wonder is there any problem if the water go into the engine bay through the NACA duct? Anyway, I try to prevent the water goes in....

Finally I done my task!!! Cover back my Blue Hippo with car cover mat and I count back the time.... its took me about few hours to wash her. Although it is very tired but I feel very happy to see her clean ^_^ After keep all the things, my brother took out my D90 to take few couple of Blue Hippo's pictures.

Don't shy Ginger, say cheese~ My Ginger is a very smart dog but sometime will easily get jealous, she don't like me to sit inside my Blue Hippo, else she will barking non stop and try to "scratch" my Blue Hippo's rim. Therefore every time when I gonna drive my GTR, I have to put her in the cage 1st. However, if I not going to sit inside the car, she will try to guard my GTR for me. Bird, cat, lizard on the ceiling, butterfly or even my pet(Star Turtle) get near, she will try to chase them away from my GTR. Hehehe:-)
